Meet Connie Wittich: Interior Designer for the Summit Vista Project

July 25, 2018

Connie Wittich, architectural/interior designer and founder of Metrolpolitan Studio, is a member of the design/architecture team for Summit Vista and the driving force behind much of the interior design on the project. For her, interior design is far more than a service. It’s what sets the tone, sparks the imagination, and invites people in. It’s storytelling at its finest—a story she’s passionate about sharing with Summit Vista residents through her inspired design plans, functional furnishings, and lively décor.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?

“I received a degree in business from the University of North Carolina and won a scholarship that allowed me to take classes in Boston, where I enrolled in interior design and architecture at New England School of Art and Design. I later got a second degree in design. Since then, I’ve worked on many large-scale community projects, as well as started my own company—Metropolitan Studio.”

HOW DO DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY ATMOSPHERE AT SUMMIT VISTA?

“Summit Vista is at the forefront in creating an active lifestyle community, and the residents play an integral role in making that possible. At nearly every stage in the design process we have sought their input to create a place where everyone can come together, feel comfortable, and be part of something bigger.”

WHAT’S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF COMPLETING A DESIGN PROJECT?

It’s an amazing feeling when a community opens and residents begin moving in. That’s when it really comes alive. I love seeing people out and about, meeting new friends, socializing, and enjoying the many spaces we created together.”

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING ON THE SUMMIT VISTA PROJECT?

“I have really enjoyed getting to know residents and team members. I’ve made some amazing friends and enjoyed building relationships here. There are so many great people dedicated to enriching lives and making this community successful.”
